My name is Amanda Sylvest. I am the creator, designer and maker behind cleh. I make costal handmade ceramics here on Vancouver Island in my home studio. 

 

W H Y   C L E H ?

My partner and I were doing a road trip between here and Calgary, AB. In a way to keep busy we were rhyming off every which name to try and find something that fit. My partner jokes how we attach "eh" to many sentaces here in Canada and a lightbulb idea came up. Clay but Canadian "eh"

I try to use as many eco friendly shipping supplies as possible and re use packaging I receive from shipments I get so that it is not wasted. 

All of my packages use water activated industrial tape that will decompose as well as compostable packing peanuts made of starch. You can even run water over a handful of peanuts and they will dissolve! 

If you do receive materials such as plastic bubble wrap or amazon boxes, know that it is being reused to reduce waste and our carbon footprint.
